two dimensional pieces may be submitted (due to the 'cocktail-ish
celebration opening party' nature of this particular fish and goose
soiree, we're going to keep everything on the wall this time!) we
have established our shipping process earlier than expected, so
we are opening this up for artists who would like to ship their
work back and forth. artists will be responsible for paying shipping
charges both ways.

limit is 36"h x 36"w x 2"d
weight
limit 50 lbs.
entry
fee : $15 per submission, and there is no limit to the number of
submissions you can make. a separate check must accompany each submission.
if any one of your submissions is not accepted,
your entry fee will be returned for that submission.

first
do this:

and include the following:
- put in the subject line :: gallery entry 073005 + your last
name, your first name (example - gallery entry 073005 + di biasi,
julia)
- attach 2 JPGs (one detail), each less than 2 mbytes each
- attach resume (if you have one - not required)
- attach artist's statement (if you have one - not required)
- attach a filled out version of the entry

please include a self addressed, stamped envelope. you will be notified
via email of the entry status. if your submission is not accepted,
your entry fee will be returned. if you are accepted, your check
will be cashed at that time.

submissions ::
work must be delivered to the gallery at the address above by july
20th, 2005 at 5pm. please call 415.503.1711 to arrange a time to
deliver your work or provide us with your shipper's tracking number.
work may be picked up between august 10th and august 14th. if we
are shipping it back to you, it will be shipped the week of august
14th. while most of our events are for one evening, we would like
to leave the work up for two weeks in the event a client would like
to make an appointment to see the work after the show.

- julia owned and operated three galleries in boston, massachusetts
prior to becoming the founder of 'my Atlantis' and her charitable
organization, 'my Atlantis'. she has juried several dozen art exhibitions
and has been responsible for exposing many new, up and coming artists
to the gallery world.

- born in bali and schooled in both france and the US (Parsons School
of Design), bloum has spent her entire life closely tied to the
art world. bloum's love of plastic bags and the message they carry
with their colors and words is evident in her paintings. They seem
to her a reflection of our world. "...At this intersection of pragmatism,
politics, metaphor, and marketing lies the work of Bloum. Incorporating
bags from a wide range of sources, her paintings speak of daily

carol
bevilacqua / www.duro-design.biz
- carol has been doing graphic design, illustration and painting
for over 25 years. she has been working 18 of them as a senior artist
at the university of california at berkeley. carol is also a very
talented mosaic artist and makes her own ceramic tiles which she
adds to her unique and colorful pieces.

sales
::
all work must be for
sale. the gallery commission is 40%, so please price your pieces
accordingly. a large portion of the gallery commissions will be
donated to our private operating foundation (charitable trust) and
used for charitable purposes.
prizes
::
best in show (as voted on by the guests of the event) - $250
'juror's choice' awards of merit (4) - some great gift certificates
for mosaic supplies and classes! (Institute of Mosaic Art, Mosaic
Studio Supply, and MosaicSmalti.com)
tickets ::
the entire proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to
do a charitable project with a local non-profit
hospital in the mission district of san francisco. artists with
accepted work get one free ticket to the party/exhibition. remaining
ticket prices are on a sliding scale.
